If you read my About page, you’ll know that I was diagnosed with two, malignant brain tumors when I was 15. The experience had a huge impact on my life, and inspired me to want to help as many people as possible. I recently met the amazing Eve Ruhlman, who is currently living with an extremely rare kind of brain tumor. Despite the challenges we’ve both faced, we’re able to enjoy fulfilling lives. We want to show other Young Professionals that brain tumors, while a challenge to treat, are not the death sentence many think they are from looking online. To that end, we started Brainiacs: SF Bay Area!
Brainiacs: SF Bay Area connects Young Professionals who have been diagnosed with a brain tumor with people who have gone through the same, or a similar experience. That way they have somebody who can help prepare them for treatment, be an experienced person to vent frustrations at, and show them that one can have a vibrant life after cancer.
If you know anybody ages 25 to 35 who was diagnosed with a brain tumor, or anybody who is a brain tumor survivor, please ask them to check out https://www.facebook.com/brainiacsSF/ and get in touch!
